Hermosa Beach has a fantastic lineup of events in 2025, starting in February. The Super Bowl 10K & 5K returns on February 2, bringing runners to the scenic beachfront course. In March, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade will fill the streets with festive floats and live entertainment. April brings the Hermosa Beach Fine Arts Festival, showcasing talented local and regional artists. One of the biggest events of the year, the Fiesta Hermosa, takes place over Memorial Day Weekend (May 24-26) and Labor Day Weekend (Aug 30 - Sept 1), featuring live music, food vendors, and artisan booths. The BeachLife Festival will be held May 2-4, drawing major musical acts to the South Bay. Throughout the summer, the Hermosa Beach Summer Concert Series offers free live music on the sand. In July, the 4th of July Ironman Competition—a quirky Hermosa tradition—challenges participants to run a mile, paddle a mile, and chug a six-pack of beer. The International Surf Festival follows in August, celebrating surf culture with competitions and lifeguard events. As fall arrives, Pumpkins in the Park in October provides family-friendly Halloween fun. Finally, the year wraps up with the Hermosa Beach Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony in December, bringing festive cheer to Pier Plaza. The 2025 Hermosa Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade promises to be a lively celebration of Irish culture and community spirit in the heart of the South Bay. Starting at 11:00 AM at the intersection of Valley and Pier Avenue, the parade will wind its way west along Pier Avenue, turning south on Hermosa Avenue before disbanding at Eighth Street. Spectators can expect a colorful procession featuring local groups, festive floats, and traditional Irish music. After the parade, the celebration continues at Pier Plaza, where the restaurants around the area will host a lively stage at the Pier Head, showcasing performances by Irish bands and step dancers. It’s a day full of fun, culture, and community, set against the beautiful backdrop of Hermosa Beach. The parade route starts at Pier Avenue and ends at Hermosa Avenue and 10th Street.

The Surfers Walk of Fame Kickoff Party is a celebration of Hermosa Beach’s rich surf culture, bringing together past and present inductees for an evening of camaraderie and recognition. Hosted at the Community Theatre, the event includes the presentation of a surf film and the South Bay Surf Awards, organized by the South Bay Boardriders Club. Visitors can also explore a special Surfers Walk of Fame exhibit at the Hermosa Beach Museum, located within the Community Center, offering a deeper dive into the history and legacy of surfing in the area.

The 2025 Surfers Walk of Fame Weekend in Hermosa Beach promises to be an exciting celebration of surf culture and action sports. Kicking off at 11:00 AM on April 26th, the City of Hermosa Beach will honor this year's Surfing Walk of Fame inductees with a special induction ceremony at Pier Plaza. Following the ceremony, the Spyder Surf Fest will take over, featuring top athletes, brands, fashion, and music, as well as exciting giveaways. The event will offer a vibrant showcase of the surfing world’s finest talents, making it a must-attend weekend for surf enthusiasts and action sports fans.

The 5th annual Hermosa for the Holidays celebration will transform Downtown Hermosa Beach (1 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254) into a festive winter wonderland in December 2025. This beloved event combines the Holiday Open House with the Tree Lighting Ceremony, offering a weekend filled with family-friendly activities, shopping, and entertainment. Visitors can browse unique gifts from local artisans and retailers, ride the Ferris wheel at Pier Plaza, and enjoy festive fun at the storytime tent and Letters to Santa writing station. The celebration features live music, including the Rock for Tots concert on Saturday, followed by the community concert and tree lighting ceremony on Sunday. Families can also capture special holiday memories with photos with Santa and spread the spirit of giving at the Giving Village. With so much to see and do, Hermosa for the Holidays is the perfect way to kick off the festive season by the beach!
