The unprecedented delay of the 75th Emmys, influenced by simultaneous strikes from writers and actors, led to a unique occurrence of two Primetime Emmy ceremonies in the 2024 calendar year. The event will be hosted at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles, with the host and producers to be announced later. Despite the delayed 75th ceremony airing during the 2023-24 TV season, it honored shows from the 2022-23 season. The upcoming September ceremony will recognize programming that ran between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, introducing at least one new winner as HBO's Succession concludes its run. Nominations for the 76th Emmys are slated to be announced on July 17.
