The story combines comedy, horror, romance, and catchy music while showing how greed and ambition can lead to serious consequences. The 38th Annual Family Halloween Carnival returns to Manhattan Heights Park in Manhattan Beach on October 24, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, bringing an afternoon of festive Halloween fun for children and families. The community celebration features carnival games, a Haunted House, costume contest and parade, cupcake walk, snow cones, face painting, Halloween crafts, refreshments, and other activities. The popular Costume Contest and Parade includes individual categories for children 7 and under and ages 8 to 15, as well as sibling and parent-and-child group categories, with prizes awarded for first through fifth place. Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch returns to Culver City for its 2026 season from October 2 through October 31, continuing a beloved Southern California Halloween tradition that began in 1987. Founded by Becky and David Campbell and inspired by their family farm in Silverton, Oregon, Mr. Bones was created to bring the charm and fun of farm life to children and families in Los Angeles. Now located at 10100 Jefferson Boulevard, the family-friendly pumpkin patch features a colorful Pumpkin Village, Tipi Village, petting zoo, straw maze, giant rocking horses, slides, bounce houses, face painting, pumpkin decorating, and plenty of pumpkins to choose from.
