If you prefer a wider, more accessible route, the Eagle Springs Fire Road provides a steady incline and open views as you ascend toward the rock. Many hikers combine this road with Musch Trail to create a 4.5-mile scenic loop that starts and ends at Trippet Ranch.
Located in the heart of Topanga State Park—the largest state park entirely within Los Angeles city limits—Eagle Rock Trail is surrounded by coastal sage scrub, chaparral, meadows, and riparian woodlands. The area is teeming with birds, butterflies, lizards, and wildflowers, especially in spring.
