SS Dominator
On March 13, 1961, A Greek freighter called The Dominator became trapped in the current near the cliffs of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in Southern California, between Malaga Cove and Lunada Bay. Due to a navigational error while lost in the heavy fog the freighter became trapped on the rocks off of Rocky Point after coming too close to the cliffs. Residents have watched over the years as the sea slowly destroyed the wreckage until finally just a few bits of the hull and bow remain scattered on the shore. More of the boat is visible at low tide.
