Eaton Canyon Falls in Wildwood Park

Eaton Canyon waterfall in the San Gabriel Mountains

Eaton Canyon, originally referred to as "El Precipicio" by the Spanish settlers because of its steep gorges, is located in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Eaton Canyon features several gorgeous hikes and horse trails. Eaton Canyon Falls is a pleasant rare year-round waterfall dropping 40ft with a rock wedged right at its brink. The 3.4-mile hike, 500-foot elevation gain, features the famous 40-foot Eaton Canyon Falls and one of Los Angeles County’s more scenic spots.

Begin up Eaton Canyon Trail from Eaton Canyon Natural Area Park and Nature Center, which is located just off Altadena Drive. Follow Eaton Canyon Trail north along the Eaton Wash creek bed. To continue to Eaton Canyon Falls, stay to the left, following an arrow for the waterfall. The falls are just 0.6 miles past the bridge.
