Redondo Beach Breakwater

Redondo Beach promises quite reliable surf during winters. It has a swell direction from west to northwest, and underground swells produce most of the surf. With a sandy bottom, waves here are typically 2-3ft and it's described as having strong currents where waves end in severe shore pound. A fast, powerful, hollow left point break that’s heavily localized. Breaks up to triple-overhead.

The beach is near the border of Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach. Find a parking spot at the southern end of Hermosa near the King Harbor Marina and once you’re on the beach, look south. There is ample parking near Veteran Park and Redondo Beach Pier. The pier is also home to shopping, fast-food stands, and restaurants.
