Silver Lake Reservoir

The Silver Lake Reservoir, which was named after Herman Silver, is home to the popular walking path, recently upgraded "meadow," two dog parks, a basketball court on the south side of the lake, and two reservoirs.

Silver Lake Recreational Area includes a Children's Play Area, Community Room, Indoor Gym, Picnic Tables, and a Multipurpose Sports Field.

Silver Lake Dog Park is the hipster dog park of Los Angeles’ east side with fenced, off-leash areas for small and large dogs, 1.25 acres. There are water drinking fountains for your pooch in each area.

Silver Lake Reservoir Trail is a 2.2 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Los Angeles, California that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking and running and is accessible year-round.

The Silver Lake and adjacent Edendale and Echo Park areas were home to many early motion picture studios. The Mack Sennett Studios, Tom Mix, Disney, Monogram (which is now KCET) Talmadge (ABC), were located here and drew creative people to the area.
